Two weeks with the breads

The bread kittens turned two weeks old today!

Weight updates:

Focaccia: 200g at 7 days. Now 229g.

Rye: 180g at 7 days. Now 244g.

Roti: 229g at 7 days. Now 308g.

Bing: 248g at 7 days. Now 322g.

Pumpernickel: 214g at 7 days. Now 294g.

Weekly awards:

Best eater goes to Pumpernickel, for gaining 80g this week.

Best walker goes to Roti, for skipping crawling and going straight to running.

Most photogenic goes to Bing, for being the easiest during photoshoots!

Toast:

Toast has stepped up and is doing her best at mothering the breads. While they need supplemental feedings now and then, she's keeping them clean and cozy! Toast herself is just as social as ever. Super cuddly and sweet.

This week, we made progress with brushing (she loves it now!) and have made some steps with her separation aggression, which I mentioned in the last update.

Current focus: continued effort with nail trims and separation aggression.

Near the end of the second week, Focaccia and Roti started dropping in weight. They’re still within healthy range, but the gap between them and their forever-gaining brother Bing is widening. Even little runt Rye passed Focaccia this week! We’re offering some formula and one-on-one time with mama Toast to encourage good, healthy gains.

Photos were super fun to take this week! I love seeing their little personalities start to blossom as they become more alert.
