Three weeks already??
Keeping these five babies fed, washed, and stimulated has taken almost all of our free time this week. Mama Toast decided that she wants to go back to being a cat now, not in two months! We had to step in with bottles and tissues every three hours. Thankfully, she’s now back on the job. What helped her to step back up? Well, she chose a spacious travel carrier to use as her cozy den. A few days ago, one of us accidentally knocked the door shut after a formula session with the babies. Result: kittens in the open, making a noisy ruckus. Toast couldn’t ignore them any longer! She’s back from her vacation and our sleep schedules are slowly returning to normal.

Weekly awards:
Best eater goes to Bing (unsurprisingly), for gaining 73g this week.
Most kitten-like goes to Roti, for running, jumping, and wrestling at all hours of day. He’s also getting great at visually tracking moving toys!
Prettiest goes to Pumpernickel, for becoming a stunning little lady and having the cutest pose this week.
Toast:
Toast has made huge strides with her separation aggression this week! We’re so proud of her progress. This week, she decided that she is NOT a pâté girly, and will only accept flakes, chunks, or shreds. We took a visit to Homes Alive Pets (our favourite store) and picked up some new canned food for her to try before the breads start weaning. Can’t be changing foods on little kittens—it’s a one-way ticket to diarrhea town.
I’m starting to casually promote the little ones for adoption and refer folks to the application, but rest assured there’s still plenty of time to apply. We won’t be settling on adopters until much closer to the end of May, when they’re ready to head home. But if you’re interested, we’d love to get your application early—it gives us lots of time to ensure you’re the best fit! Process and application are available here.
The breads have their adoption pages and bios up—click on a photo to check it out!
