Playful Pumpernickel is full of energy, and never stops for a break. She spends her days playing with any toy she can get her paws on, and is very vocal while she does so, even if totally alone: adorable play-growls are her thing!

When not playing, Pumpernickel likes to be up high, surveying her kingdom from above. She truly believes she’s the queen of the foster room—and who are we to say otherwise? She’s grown into a stunning young cat with her orange blaze, mismatched socks, and stunning golden eyes.

Pumpernickel’s purr-fect home is with someone who will put in the time to play with her regularly. She goes crazy for interactive wand toys, and bonds the closest with those wield them. It really is her love language! Once comfortable with you, you’ll unlock her cuddly side. She’ll climb into your lap, always curious about what you’re doing, and request pets with her sweet little face. She loves to use people as a moving cat tree, perched on your shoulder like a parrot as you go about your day.

Pumpernickel would love to find a home with her brother, Roti. She is sometimes possessive of her toys or beds and may growl or hiss if another cat approaches. Luckily, Roti is used to her antics and tolerates her well! In turn, she feels the least “threatened” by him and exhibits her possessive behaviours way less than if with another sibling.

Because of these behaviours, Pumpernickel’s ideal home is one that does not have other cats, dogs, or young kids. Although she does not exhibit aggression and is a sweetheart with people, she is not afraid to speak her mind and prefers when people understand and respect her “no”.

Pumpernickel’s spay is pending but will be completed prior to adoption. She has a clean bill of health and is vaccinated against FVRCP.
