1. Fill out and submit the adoption application linked above. You can apply for a specific cat from our current rescues, or let us pick the perfect match.

2. Wait for a text or email regarding your application.

3. Schedule and attend your phone interview.

4. In-person meet-and-greet with your chosen animal.

5. Send adoption fees, sign adoption contract, and take home your forever friend!

In most cases, step 4 and 5 happen simultaneously, but if you need more time during the adoption process please let us know.

We offer adoption trials for anyone interested in adoption but unsure if it’s a good fit. During the trial period (two weeks), you take your adopted animal home and care for them as if they are your own, with regular support and check-ins from us as you and your new friend get to know each other. If you decide that it is not a good fit, you can return the pet to us at the end of your trial period and the adoption fees will be partially refunded.

Kittens (under 6 months)

• One kitten: $150

  Single kittens are only available to households that already have a playful cat.

• Two kittens: $250

Adults

• One adult: $100

Fees are subject to change on a case-by-case basis. Ask about any fees not listed.

Our rescues are sent home with at least one full veterinary health check (usually performed at Whyte Ridge Veterinary Hospital), age-appropriate FVRCP and rabies vaccines, deworming, spay/neuter, and all medical records. We do not cover microchips, but we encourage our adopters to get them.

Our adoption fees are calculated based on the expenses put into each animal. These range from $100 for basic veterinary care and a short stay with us to over $3000 for an orphaned kitten staying until spay/neuter. Our fees are as low as possible because we know upfront costs can be an issue for some adopters, so we do not offer alternative pricing. Be aware that free kittens are never free—they often come without proper medical care or vaccinations and may need expensive procedures later on.

Adopting kittens in pairs (or to a home that already has a playful cat) helps the kitten to develop appropriate social and life skills. As any foster parent will tell you, kittens learn from each other. Having a buddy helps them to learn grooming skills, tidy litterbox habits, and appropriate play. It also gives them an outlet for their endless kitten energy, preventing them from getting into mischief and tearing up your nice sofa, biting at your legs while you’re working from home, or ingesting something dangerous. Adopting a pair who are already bonded also removes the time and care needed to introduce cats later on if you plan on expanding your furry family in the future. Twice the cuddles, half the work!

We do not deliver adoptions as we believe it’s important for an adopter to meet their new family member before taking them home. If you’re interested in adopting but cannot make it to our location, please look for rescues in your area.
